We meet in the Beacon on Mondays at 11.45am to serve a light lunch to people who live alone and who wish to have some social interaction with others.
Elderly housebound folk are brought to the Beacon for soup, sandwiches then coffee or tea with a chocolate biscuit and friendship. Carers are able to have a break, whilst those attending enjoy meeting others. some of our attendees are brought to us by Helplink volunteer drivers, others come by themselves and some with their carers.
Making time to chat with everyone is very important to us. We have recently received a £50 grant from North Wirral Rotary in recognition of the service we provide in the community. Age UK Wirral were pleased that we approached them to advertise our Club.
